Sunday Clubs...

We have a Sunday Club attached to each Worship Centre (church). We always share the start of each service together, before the young people go to their own teaching activities and worship session. In addition, during morning services at Newtongrange church, there is Sunday Tots for toddlers

Youth Group ...

The young people (P7+) meet each Sunday evening in the large hall at Mayfield/Easthouses church, from 7.00 to 9.00 pm, when the schools are in session. Apart from raiding the tuck shop, we get the chance to talk about faith, tackle projects, play games and tease Jean, Edgar, Sandra, Donald and Paul...

And then there's Tribal Generation at Penicuik North on the 2nd Sunday of alternate months (September to June). Transport leaves from Newbattle old car park at 7.00 pm.

Girls' Brigade...

Newtongrange Company meets from 6.30 pm each Tuesday evening during school term-time in the Newtongrange church hall.

Mayfield Company Explorers (girls in P1 to P3) meet between 6.00 and 7.00 pm and Brigaders from 7.00 pm each Thursday evening during school term-time in the Mayfield & Easthouses church hall.

Girls from both Companies meet together each week to work through a programme of activities suited to their age and ability following a syllabus of spiritual, physical, educational and service subjects. The main emphasis is on fun and enjoyment as they learn to work and play together.

Activities include crafts, baking, games and entertaining. Christmas can be a visit to the panto, or puppet theatre. At the end of our session we have an Annual Display - the girls entertain their parents and each girl is given a book for attendance and badges for awards gained.
